CTBA Executive Director Ralph Martire was interviewed Tuesday, March 25, 2014, by ABC Channel 7 reporter Charles Thomas regarding Governor Quinn's budget address to be delivered at noon on Wednesday, March 26. The intereview was televised on ABC7 during the 5:00 pm newscast on March 25, 2014.

On December 5, 2013, Governor Pat Quinn signed Public Act 98-599 into law. That legislation implements sweeping changes to the pension benefits for current retirees and employees in the Teachers' Retirement System, State Universities Retirement System, State Employees' Retirement System, and the General Assembly Retirement System. CTBA is busy analyzing the new legislation.
