CTBA Executive Director Ralph Martire was interviewed by FOX News political reporter Mike Flannery today regarding IL House Speaker Michael Madigan's proposal to cut the corporate income tax rate in half.
The interview aired Thursday, January 30, on FOX32 NEWS at 9:00 p.m.
The current corporate income tax rate of 7 percent is scheduled to drop to 5.25 percent in January 2015. The rate was 4.8 percent before the income tax increase approved in 2011. The Madigan proposal would drop the rate to 3.5 percent on business profits and backdate it to January 3.
