“Where Do We Go From Here? Moving Toward Greater Equity in Illinois”

The last 19 months have been difficult for everyone, and finding an equitable path forward is more important than ever. CTBA welcomes House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch as the keynote presenter. Speaker Welch will outline his vision for how to move the state forward fiscally to ensure a better future for everyone, and to make suggestions for policies that could move the state forward both fiscally and from an equity/opportunity standpoint.  CTBA hopes to encourage a robust and yet practical discussion of how the fiscal situation in Illinois impacts the public policy systems that can build equity and create opportunity throughout the state, and what can be done about it.
