Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, said he has a solution for the state budget crisis, although people may not like it: raise state income taxes.
Martire spoke, along with State Rep. Scott Drury, 58th District, on Monday at the Gorton Community Center as part of the "Understanding the Budget Impasse: Finding Pathways to Resolution" event, organized by the Lake Forest Lake Bluff League of Women Voters.
