State Rep. Sam Yingling is hosting an income tax seminar from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at the Avon Township offices, at 433 E. Washington St. in Round Lake Park. The seminar will feature Carol Portman, president of the Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois, and Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, who will discuss tax credits and exemptions residents can qualify for.
